Founded in 1982, Avialec International has established itself as one of the leading UK specialist distributors of electrical connectors, relays, wire and associated devices.

Servicing the aerospace industry has meant that Avialec have had to succeed in an increasingly competitive industry. Maintaining a steady rate of growth since 2000 has certainly been challenging but has focused our attention firmly on our core strengths.

The ability to multi source all OEM products from a world wide supplier base is perhaps the focal point of our strength. With customers frequently consolidating vendor bases, requesting year on year cost down and strict delivery adherence terms, we have to be in a position to support them. Our strong purchasing power on key product groups coupled with our stock holding capability and extensive approvals enable us to offer effective solutions in such rationalisation programmes.

With the addition of our assembly facility of ESC10/8533/BACC63/EN2997/D38999/8D connectors, we have secured a niche position in the market place. We can offer additional support to engine build programmes supplying both sub contract harness manufacturers and OEM's with short lead time solutions - an invaluable tool when production lines cannot wait 16 weeks for delivery.

One of the fasted growing areas of our business has been the Harness Management sector. Outsourcing of harness assembly is not a new concept by any means but the introduction of a third party to manage the process is not so widely utilised. Our success has been driven largely by the desire to supply the component parts and to develop partnerships with customers who offer harness assembly capabilities. Simply by offering a single source solution for the supply of completed harnesses has been very well recieved and has resulted in Avialec securing major contracts.

In March 2008, Avialec International was aquired by KAPCO, a worldwide distributor of FAA approved parts such as; machined products and assemblies, electrical connectors and components, seals, clamps and couplings. Together we are able to provide a wide range of products, continue to focus on our core strengths and work hard to provide our customers with an exceptional level of service.
